Jean worked in the travel industry for 35 years which included running a golf holiday department and taking golf groups away. During this time she was approached to become the Travel Editor for ‘Lady Golfer’ which in 1997 was a new ladies' golf magazine.

Following this period she moved on to become a freelance golf travel writer having been accepted as a member of the International Golf Travel Writers Association all of which has taken her around the world of golf including covering both the men and ladies Professional Golf events.

In the year 2000 she was one of four partners to set up what has become a successful company which runs amateur golf tournaments across the North West of England and still has a close working contact with them for further details see www.wgtbgolf.co.uk
