Being new to golf, I cannot get any consistency with my shots. One will go down the middle, the next will slice to one side and so on. Any advice on how to keep in in the middle?

Hello, saw the site advertised in a mag this week and thought it was the Marie Celest. Having a lesson with a golf pro to set you of on the right line is of benefit.
then practice and getting out on the course does help to get your swing into a groove. "If you ain't got a swing you ain't got a thing."

Hi all,
It is looking a bit sparce at the moment, but it is a brand new site that was only launched two days ago. It will get better. Thank you for posting on the forum and keep it up. The more posts we have, the better it will look.

Hi Dale
I am Golf Confidence Coach and I do not usually start coaching golfers until they have the basic skills under their belts and then they start applying too much thinking and analysing to the process. But Carol is absolutely right - you need to learn the skills first in order to get any sort of consistency in your game. My best advice at this stage is have fun, trust yourself, and try not to overthink. And practice, practice, practice but make sure you have a good Club Golf Pro keep an eye on you to ensure that you practice 'wise'. Repetition is the key but 'good' repetition! If you want to ask me anything along the mental side of the game then post a thread or keep any eye on some of the topics I am going to add.

Dale, your problem is a very common one. In my experience which does involve some coaching of junior golfers this inconsistency comes from not having an established swing plain. A good tip for change this is to stand in front of a mirror when practicing and watch yourself as you swing....you will be susprised at how quickly you can shape your body to strike the ball better. This should make more shots go down the middle. Let me know how you get on :o

Dale, I have been playing for over 30 years and there is no quick tip to guarantee hitting the middle every time, as you are new to the game your inconsistency could be due to any number of reasons, starting the game correctly cannot be over emphasised so my advice would be to get yourself some lessons from a PGA pro and have them check your equipment as well to make sure it's suitable. Hope this site catches on, I will spread the word.
