I thought golf was quite a unique sport in that you play yourself, I mean that the other player doesn't physically effect how you play. It's just you, your club and the ball. Not like team sports or even snooker, where the opposing team/player effects how you play 
So I thought, to myself, how many other sports are there like golf 
So far I've come up with these 
Darts
Ten pin bowls
Weight lifting
How many others can you think of

100m sprint. One person against the clock. It's too short a distance for tactics to come into it. So I think it counts. As perhaps does the 110m hurdles.
And then thinking about it, what about the javelin, discus, hammer, high jump , triple jump and long jump
